SPANKY AND SPIDER

SPANKY AND SPIDER WERE CREATED YEARS AGO AS A LITTLE CARTOON WITH A VERY CAMPY GOTH STYLING. A VERY DISTURBING LITTLE PEICE AS THE LEAD CHARACTER SPANKY IS A YOUNG GIRL THAT DIES IN HER SLEEP AND AWAKENS IN A LIMBO LIKE WORLD. HER GUIDE IS THE SPIDER. I HOPE TO RELEASE A FEW PAGES EACH MONTH AND I WOULD LIKE YOUR FEEDBACK ON THE STRIP. NOT A STRIP FOR EVERYONES TASTE BUT LETS SEE WHAT HAPPENS!!

TOONSTALK History

The TOONSTALK concept was created to encompass editorial, political and general FUN cartoons. Like many artist in this crazy realm you will find some hometown references. My references to Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada shows up quite frequently in my past work...specially in my political cartoons. My work has been featured in many Winnipeg community newpapers, local publishers like these are excellent vehicles to showcase your work and many editors appreciate to include a good cartoon.

For new artist starting out, I would look at your local publishers and determine what are their needs..eg.. real estate cartoons would be used by a publisher interested in that genre of humour. A good cartoon can often be published but there are many rejected excellent efforts that never see prints. I hope to share some of my published work and personal favorites in my future entries.
